Over the past years, FiberPlanIT was used in several worldwide ftth projects and helped these projects to become successful. For these projects, FiberPlanIT was introduced in different stages of the project - ranging from the business case evalutation to the final to-built plan of the ftth network.

Recent case study: FTTH Council EU

Summary: Study concerning the broadband targets of the Digital Agenda of Europe:
By 2020 half of European households should subscribe to a (symmetrical) bandwidth of at least 100Mbps, and 30Mbps should be available to all Europeans.
Comsof investigated the driving cost factors of FTTH projects and searched for a way to estimate the costs to deploy fiber to the home in the EU27 countries - using our knowledge and experience from passed projects.
