The Study

This study is a refinement of the study presented at the FTTH Council Conference in Munich, that calculated the cost of fiberizing Europe (EU27). The 2013 study focuses only on Germany - the biggest country in EU and the most expensive in terms of labour cost.

The study follows a bottom-up approach: starting with detailed analysis of 230+ networks, representing in total 2.3 million buildings. All network designs have been calculated with FiberPlanIT, a scalable network planning tool for FTTx.
