Requirements

Telia needed to respond rapidly to a large-scale project to move its telecom network underground in rural Finland. They required accurate and fast cost estimation for FTTx deployment, considering varying trenching costs. Decisions had to be made, knowing that trenching would be banned for an extended period post-electricity network relocation. 

Results

Implementing IQGeo’s Comsof Fiber software transformed Telias FTTx planning. It enabled quick and reliable cost estimates, ensured uniformity among planners, and provided significant time savings. Previously, manual calculations took two days; with our software, they took a few hours. Comsof Fibers ability to assess alternative scenarios contributed to better solutions for both customers and the company, resulting in a huge impact on Telias FTTx planning operations.
