Requirements

Witteveen+Bos needed a solution to automate the design process for district heating networks in response to the growing demand for energy transition solutions. They were previously designing networks manually and realized that a standardized, automated solution would be more efficient and accurate. Clients now required detailed designs to make informed decisions regarding district heating projects.

Results

By adopting IQGeo’s Comsof Heat software, Witteveen+Bos has significantly improved its ability to provide detailed district heating network designs and feasibility studies. The software allows for quick and accurate estimates, making it valuable for creating business cases for district heating projects. As the government of the Netherlands demands more detailed district heating designs, the team at Witteveen+Bos expects an increase in their workload. Comsof Heat's in-depth capabilities have streamlined their work, making it easier and more efficient. The software has the potential to add substantial value to larger projects in the future.

In August 2022, IQGeo announced the acquisition of Comsof. Read the article in full on our news page
